baranduin has given us permssion to post our stories and artwork from For Lorie a couple of hours early (Greenwich Mean Time), so I have uploaded my story and Daffodil Bolger's artwork to my website and linked to it below (with a little snip of Daffodil's lovely pic).

Perhaps a good idea would be to post the table of contents as a tagged post (can't future date in communities, darn it), with links added as folks post their stuff? That would be cool.

Stories featuring Frodo and Faramir are some of my favorites. The two seem to have so much in common, and you've caught that feeling very well in this story. I could almost feel the heat where Frodo was sitting, and smell the dust and flowers and hear all the noise of rebuilding going on. And the sense of peace and quiet and coolness once Faramir had taken Frodo into the tomb was just as palpable. Their conversation was so quiet and healing too, for both of them. A lovely fic, Elanor.

Gosh, I remember when I was reading through this while we were proofreading and I just sank right into this story with such pleasure. I ADORE fics with Frodo and Faramir just after quest...I always think to when Faramir promised that they should get a chance to talk if they both survived it all...but then Tolkien never wrote it! SO we can. And yours had such depth and heart. Thanks for posting and for participating in the book!

Thanks Janet. That quote sums up For Lorie for me. It also sums up life in general. It is, at times, very very hard to believe, but I think there is a reason for everything that happens, I just don't think we are always privy to it.

What a lovely story! I so enjoyed the interaction between Frodo and Faramir and the relaxed, peaceful tone of the entire fic. And I absolutely ate up Faramir carrying tired, reluctant Frodo into the tomb. Very nice!

This is a lovely tale in every way. I like your characterizations very much, especially the telling details like Faramir's recollection of his father's criticism of his gait. And the story of the young king is certainly new to me, so that was delightful as well. Thanks for a very enjoyable read!
